Description :
Fusion Bond DC is a dual-cure bonding agent for enamel and dentine, suitable
for use with dual-cure and self-cure composites such as Fusion Self Lute and Fusion Ultra DC. It is
necessary to condition enamel and dentine surfaces before application. Due to the dual-cure nature of
the product, it is useful for bonding posts also. It is a two bottles composition comprising of Bonding
Agent and Activator.
Composition :
Fusion Bond DC Bonding Agent contains Urethane Dimethacrylate, Triethylene
Glycol Dimethacrylate, Bisphenol A Diglycidyl Methacrylate, Tertiary Butanol, Photoinitiators, Stabilizer,
Ethoxylated Bisphenol ADimethacrylate.
Fusion Bond DC Activator contains Urethane Dimethacrylate, Triethylene Glycol Dimethacrylate,
Bisphenol ADiglycidyl Methacrylate, Tertiary Butanol, Curing Agent, Stabilizer.
Indications :
Direct, Light Cure Composite restorations, Core Build-Ups and adhesion of resin cements
for post, crowns, bridges, inlays and onlays.
Instructions for Use :
Direct Restoration :
1. Clean the prepared root canal or cavity with water spray and then air dry. 2. In deep cavities /
preparations, cover the dentine close to the pulp with hard setting calcium hydroxide liner (Cal LC ) or
glass ionomer liner (I-Seal). 3. Apply Etching Gel (Actino Gel) to the Cavity surfaces starting at the
enamel margins. Condition for 15 Seconds. 4. Rinse with vigorous water spray and dry the cavity
surfaces completely by blowing gently with an air syringe. Do not desiccate dentine. Proceed
immediately to apply Fusion Bond DC.
Mixing Directions : Dispense 1-2 drops of Fusion DC Bond Agent and equal numbers of Fusion Bond
DC Activator into a clean dappen dish or mixing well. Replace cap promptly. Mix both the components for
3-4 sec. Apply using a disposable brush. Wet all the tooth surfaces uniformly. Gently evaporate solvent
by thoroughly drying with clean, dry air for at least 5 sec. If required repeat application and air dry and
light cures if desired. Cure for 20- 30 sec using a curing light.
Contraindications : Fusion Bond DC is contraindicated for use with patients who have a history of
allergic reactions to methacrylate resins or any of its components.
Warnings : 1. Fusion Bond DC contains methacrylates which may be irritating to eyes. Before using this
product wear protective glasses as well as cover the patients eyes to protect from splashing material. 2.
Fusion Bond DC contains polymerizable monomers which can cause skin sensitization (allergic contact
dermatitis) in susceptible individuals. If contact with skin occurs immediately wipe off thoroughly with
cotton and alcohol and then wash well with soap and water after contact. If skin rash and sensitization or
other allergic reaction occurs discontinue use and seek medical attention. 3. Avoid contact with oral soft
tissues. If accidental contact occurs, flush mucosa with plenty of water and expectorate water. If
sensitization of mucosa persists, seek medical attention immediately. 4. Fusion Bond DC contains tbutanol. Do not breathe vapor.
